Bob grew up in Monroeville, Ohio which is a small rural town 20 miles South of Cedar Pbobointe.  It is similar to Salem in size and character.  After graduating from Monroeville High School in 1972 Bob enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for four years.  After spending the first two years stateside he was sent to Italy for a year.  When he returned stateside he spent the remainder of his enlistment at the Pentagon in Washington D.C.

After leaving the service Bob worked in Virginia for two years in the engineering department of PulseCom as an electronics technician.  In September 1979 Bob moved to Michigan to work for Control Data Corporation as a computer services technician.  Over the years he was promoted several times ending with the position of Technical Services Coordinator.  In this position his responsibilities included direct operational responsibilities at the customer’s Dearborn, MI headquarters and the coordination at their Pittsburgh, PA data center.  Meetings and daily briefings with senior management were a part of the position.

In 1994 Bob earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in CAD/CAM from Eastern Michigan University.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude and was the 1993 EMU College of Technology Student of the Year.

In 1996 Bob met and married his wife Jo Ann.  In 1997 he left his career in electronics to become partners with his wife in her oil change business.  In 1998 they added a second location.

In 2002 Bob and his wife bought their property on Wilderness Drive in Salem Township with the intent of building their “forever home”.  In 2004 it was completed and they moved in July 1st.  Jo Ann is the now homeowner’s association president and takes care of all the flowers at the entrance to the subdivision.  Bob enjoys mowing the lawn and working on the house.

Elected in 2008, Bob is honored to have been chosen to be supervisor.
